This former rectory has recently had a full refurbishment, and is doing wonderful service as a popular hotel and cottages, with a restaurant that not only serves good food, but can also offer the added attraction of badgers having their dinner out on the lawn. Penhaven has been described as a hotel for all seasons, and its star ratings suggest that this is widely understood and appreciated.
Dining is done in the Woodlands Restaurant each evening & every Sunday lunchtime with lunchtime snacks being made available for spring 2008 which will be served in the bar area. All main courses come with a selection of vegetables and potatoes, at least some of which will have been grown locally. Chef's homemade breads are served as a prelude and then it's off into the crushed tomato and spicy red pepper soup, or an avocado wrapped in Serrano ham with their own honey and mustard dressing.
