THYME CAFE
Fantastic food & a lively atmosphere
abulous food, a great lively atmosphere… and, at last, a place where informality and high standards meet.
That’s Thyme Café, sister to the original Thyme restaurant, and a huge hit among diners since it first appeared on the Sheffield scene in 2003.
Enjoy a large and ever-changing selection of dishes, available both lunchtimes and evenings, from our blackboard menu. This is modern brasserie-style cooking at its best…with dishes such as Saigon noodle bowl with chicken, smoked haddock koftas, seared tuna steak burger with all the accompaniments, linguine with chilli, olive oil, rocket and lemon or that eternal favourite, Thyme Café fish and chips.
It’s the ideal place when you make one of those spur-of-the-moment decisions to eat out. In keeping with its relaxed approach, Thyme Café doesn’t take reservations. Simply turn up, we’ll find you a table, then order at the bar. If it’s busy, just pull up a stool at the bar and relax with a drink from our extensive selection of wines and beers until your table is free. There’s Belgian De Koninck beer and chilled Cruzcampo lager from Spain on draught, plus a fine choice of inexpensive wines.
Thyme Café’s no-frills take on good food is reflected in its pricing. The average dish is around a fiver, so you can enjoy it as often as you like without breaking the bank. Or if you prefer a coffee and a sweet treat mid-morning, take a perch in the window, café-style, and watch the world go by.
Little wonder then that it’s proved so popular with local diners. So if you haven’t tried the unique recipe that is Thyme Café, pop on down. We’re handily located in central Broomhill
