Do not allow yourself to be deterred on arrival! Here we have a 16th century cottage that has been externally mangled, but happily it's a different story inside. The ancient interior has absorbed Thai culture to create a happy blend of styles which even the most talented makeover team would be hard put to equal.
The food is to match and whilst not inexpensive the choice and excellence is superb. There is the main menu for we ordinary mortals whilst those of a vegetarian disposition can sample the special menu, which manages to make even hardened carnivores take a second, or third even, glance.
The staff are everything you would wish them to be, particularly including helpful when it comes to working your way through that magnificent main menu. If you are really on a tight budget call in one day for the £5 lunch.
