Many of you will be familiar with the names of Max and Susan Fischer and their Head Chef Rupert Rowley. They run the superbly cosseting fine-dining country hotel www.fischers-baslowhall.co.ukon the edge of the Duke of Devonshire’s Chatsworth Estate.
Now, just along the road, next to Baslow’s pretty village church their second venue, Rowley’s is offering a brand new all day bar venue where locals are assured of their welcome and a good pint just as much as visiting diners. The mix of the stone-flagged bar area with an open fire sits along side the chic more contemporary feel of the three dining areas.
Food is a mix of modern and traditional British. A key emphasis is placed on sourcing local produce from our trusted suppliers. Then expect the menu to feature all that you would hope for from a top flight restaurant…. ranging from light bites to sublime fresh fish and prime steaks. All this with the reassurance of quality that regular Fischer’s customers have come to expect.
Service, from a fairly young team of waiting staff is both pleasant and helpful.
