Went on the 8 July with my husband and daughter. I live in London and frequent restaurants on a regular basis but I have never and I mean never seen such an overpriced menu. The food was just adequate. The only spectacular thing about this restaurant was the bill for plain food which you could get in any seaside cafe. I suggest you go to Mark Hix restaurant in Lyme Regis. Now we are talking good food!!!!

I couldn't disagree more with the previous posting on this restaurant. We too eat out regularly, including London, and each time we have been to the Riverside (four over the past year) the food has been very good and the service top rate. Two visits to Mark Hix have been disappointing - pricey, average cooking, bad service (even when there were only six other covers). OK, he's got the best views!
