A 16th century inn well endowed with traditional features and a good relaxed ambience. Food is served in both bar and restaurant, with an emphasis on local game and seafood. The brochette of scallops wrapped in bacon, the ballontine of duckling with cassis sauce and the steak and kidney pudding (so seldom seen these days as we pursue the exotic) are all well worth a try. House wine from a very reasonable £8.50, eat from the carte menu for around £13.00.
