This elegant Victorian hotel has two dining rooms, Gladstone and Disraeli. I am not sure if there is political message here, but given the choice I think I would head for Disraeli, on the understanding he was supposed to be a pretty venal chap.
Attention paid to the food is very evident in the quality and size of the helpings and their Sunday roasts are legendary. Everywhere you look in the dining rooms the signs of taste and quality are to be seen, from the special attention paid to children, to the décor and furniture and fresh flowers. This is a place which has it sorted.
