Robbie O'Neill and Shaun Wilson are back in South East London with a new exciting gastropub THE PERRY HILL in SE6. They were last in the area in Greenwhich, wich the much acclaimed NORTH POLE bar and restaurant in Greenwich, wich they completely refurbished and operated until 1999 when they sold it.

Robbie and Shaun have approximately 40 years experience between them in the catering industry under their belts, having worked together at various well know London venues such as Evening Standard Bar of the Year winner Beach Blanket Babylon in Notting Hill and creator of High Holborn Restaurant where they werer awarded a Michelin Star within 6 months of opening. They currently have two bars in Clerkenwell, 19/20 trading for 7 years and The Bear trading for nearly 4 years. Their experience and skill has been to identify sites and areas of interest and then create individually tailored themes to suit, overseeing them from a design and operation perspective.

Robbie's connection with Perry Hill goes back all almost all his life, having been brought up in the street next to THE PERRY HILL (formerly the Two Brewers).

Additional Comments:

THE PERRY HILL divides into three main areas. Firstly the front third of the pub will become just that...a public house with real ales, ciders, largers and a good range of wines from around the world by glass and bottle. The second part comprising two thirds of the pub will focus on excellent food, served in a comfortable and relawed surroundings with the added interest in being able to see the food produced from a 'theatre kitchen' incorporated into the bar. The final part of the equation is the creation of approximately 3,000 sq feet of decking in the large garden behind the pub. Under four large umbrellas (including integrated heating and lighting) up to 80 customers can eat al fresco. (There is even a smoking tent to comply with new regulations). Robbie and Shaun have secured the services of an experienced and talented chef in Andrew Bellew. His background includes working in Australia, Guernsey and France. In London he has spent time at the Fishworks Seafood Restaurant, Charlotte Street Hotel and for the last two years as the Head Chef at the famous and busy White Horse in Parsons Green SW6. Robbie and Shaun have also commissioned some unique artwork from the much praised and exhibited artist Rob Clarke to create some highly individual collages which help produce the unusual and dynamic ambience on view in all their venues.
