This novel floating restaurant housed on a barge in the middle of a retail park not a hundred miles from the centre of Chelmsford, comes as something of a shock, until you look more closely and see how well the conversion has been carried out, particularly the interior. Besides it's not every converted barge restaurant that finds its way into the august pages of The Michelin Guide.
The food does not suffer from over presentation, nor has much time been spent on dressing up the menu, but look beyond these two points to how the food tastes and you begin to find the true value of Muddy Waters
