An atmosphere of quiet elegance is reflected in our Taste of Scotland and Visitscotland recommended Conservatory Brasserie where the hotel's head chef Charlie Hutchison and his team prepare dishes that are modern and classically infused with Portuguese and Scottish flavours. The emphasis is on using fresh local produce as a general rule as East Lothian County is very rich in farming. We believe totally in supporting this community and for that reason we are a nominated hotel restaurant the East Lothian 's Food and drink Festival good food competition.
The dining experience is complimented by a careful selection of outstanding wines from around the world. For pre dinner drinks, the adjacent drawing room with its welcoming arm chairs and sofas will make the ideal place to enjoy a glass of probably one of the best classic malts in Scotland, Glenkinchie, which is produced a mere 4 miles from the house. Or why not try a large glass of the local, smooth famous dark beer Belhaven Best.
Also available is a varied selection of light snacks and gourmet sandwiches that you can choose from in relaxing and informal surroundings of the drawing room or the gardens weather permiting. A good selection of wines and bottle beers are availble by the glass.
