The Gusto Group’s latest venture will be open in the up and coming Ouseburn Valley area in 2007.

The new café will be called Don Vitos, which was the name of the restaurant that their father Mario first set up when he arrived in Newcastle 50 years ago. It was the busiest Italian pizzeria and trattoria in Newcastle and it was there that the Di Giorgio family’s interest began in sourcing local, fresh ingredients from both the North East and Southern Italy. They plan to duplicate the style and ethos of the original Don Vitos to the new restaurant on the Ouseburn.
