Edinburgh New Town, which is where you will find the only Scottish Browns, isn't that new at all. It dates back to 1767, to be precise, and was designed to persuade Scottish gentry not to up sticks to London. It's succeeded so well that it persuaded us to join them! And so... Edinburgh Browns opened in George St as lately as December 1998 and has quickly introduced the Browns menu and style to local residents, visitors and students in Scotland's capital City.
The restaurant has more than 200 seats, a private dining room for 25 people and a delightful bar overlooking George Street. Seasonal Scottish specialities are featured as well as the Browns menu offered in all our restaurants. Special opening times are operated during the Edinburgh Festival in August.
