'Oh, who can ever be tired of Bath?' wrote Bath's most famous inhabitant, Jane Austen. Who indeed, particularly now that Browns has settled in Orange Grove. Actually Bath has always had something of a gastronomic reputation, what with the Bath bun, Bath chap, and Bath Oliver!
The history of the Browns building is just as interesting, if not quite so celebrated. It was once a police station and a Magistrates Court.
The fine Georgian building, sited opposite Bath Abbey retains the fine entrance doors suitable for horse drawn Police vehicles! and comprises a 170 seat restaurant on the ground floor. The restaurant also has a number of outside tables where diners can enjoy the full Browns menu, whenever the weather is fine.
