Sheena & Iain Thomson are proud to welcome you to The Braided Fig Restaurant & Bar. The main aim for us was to provide a restaurant quality experience at bar prices.

The restaurant itself is as striking as the menu, with a beautiful Fig Tree growing in the centre of the floor. Warm colours and comfortable surroundings give the restaurant an almost Medditeranean feel.

The Braided Fig is open 7 days per week serving lunches and evening meals. All food is cooked fresh to order. Our menus are changed regularly to take advantage of the vast array of seasonal produce available in the North-East. Iain personally selects all our cuts of meat – and will only use Aberdeen Angus beef.

Private functions are also available at The Braided Fig, with parties of up to 50 people catered for at affordable prices. Please telephone us for full details.

On visiting the Braided Fig in Summer Street, Aberdeen. I have to say how very disappointed I was not only with the service but also the food. On arriving sat at table but no one asked if we would like the food menu, so had to ask if serving food, reply being eerrmm Yes. Took about 40 mins for starter to be served. Main course meals NOT good value for money. Whilst sitting eating & socialising chairs being put up onto tables (felt they were telling us its time to go - it was before 9.30pm) Would definately not recommend!!

love the building and decor, but the food and service was dire. the staff were more interested chatting to their mates at the bar than serving customers and the tapas that I ordered was chewy and tastless. This is not recommended apart from maybe going for some after work drinks. Try cafe 52 or howies instead.
